So after finishing the sixth book I immediately picked up the seventh one and started reading knowing I wouldn't be able to read anything else until I finished the series. I can never concentrate on another book when I have all the books in the series. It's probably just me that does that...I loved the way the author finished the series! Great ending to a great series!
Harry Potter is about to turn seventeen and now the Dursleys are in danger. So they leave Harry behind to go into hiding where they will have no further contact with him. Harry leaves with Hagrid while the other wizards (Hermione, Fred, George, Ron, Bill, Mad-Eye Moody, etc.) try to confuse the Death Eaters by looking like Harry. What they weren't expecting was for someone to betray them and give You-Know-Who the date of their departure. Harry and Hagrid make it to the destination narrowly avoiding being killed by You-Know-Who. They reach the Weasleys house safely but Mad-Eye is killed in the battle. :O
When the Ministry of Magic is taken over by You-Know-Who, Harry, Hermione, and Ron go on the run since Harry is wanted for killing Dumbledore. (Who on earth would think Harry killed Dumbledore??) They break into the Ministry and steal part of You-Know-Who's soul from Umbridge. (Yikes!) Luckily they get away and disappear from London when their hideout is discovered. Now that they have part of the soul they have to discover a way to destroy it.
So they go around finding and killing parts of You-Know-Who's soul. When You-Know-Who and the Death Eaters attack the school it is up to Harry to stop Tom Riddle.
Will Harry survive? Will he give his life to kill You-Know-Who? Or will Voldemort destroy everything Harry loves?
Loved the book! It really was a great ending to the book! I mean everyone probably guessed the ending before reading the book since if it ended badly the book would be terrible! It had to end this way though I hated that a few of my favourite characters died D': Oh well that's just how it was written.

Blood Red Road Review

So since I've been spending most of my time reading on my Kindle I never thought I'd be able to pick up a book. I am sure glad I did because this book is intense and weird. I like it though it doesn't have "quotation marks" around what is being said, which I find super annoying. In most cases I won't write in a book, but I made an exception so I could put the quotes around sentences.
Saba, Lugh, Emmie and their father all live together in Silverlake where the food comes few and far between while the water level drops. There is no one for miles and miles but one day four men come, take Lugh, and kill Pa, leaving Saba to take care of the sister she loathes. She heads out to find Lugh, planning to leave Emmie behind with a neighbor, but Emmie just comes after her.
They are kidnapped by some wicked people who force Saba to cage fight in Hopetown. The worst place to be. There she becomes known as the Angel of Death, for she never loses a match. That is, not until someone comes and forms a plan. Now she has to lose three matches and run the gauntlet where she will hopefully be able to escape into the crowd.
The King catches onto the plot and plans to ruin everything but Saba manages to escape and helps the other prisoners escape too. Including Jack, who she risks her life to save though she doesn't know why. Now she is with the female group the Free Hawks and about to journey with Emmie and Jack to Freedom Fields where they are keeping Lugh.
They make it there after encountering the Wurms and safely make it inside the compound. There they realize that the Kind is still alive. How? Saba saw him die! XD After getting Lugh safely out of there they go to meet up with Tommo and Emmie but discover Emmie has been taken. Now they set up a defense and wait for the King and his men to come for them.
Will they make their last stand? Will the Free Hawks come to the rescue? Who wins in the end?
I loved the book and one of the characters (DeMalo) even though I think he's in all of five pages throughout the book. So sad! Agh I hate that I am once again in love with a fictional character!

Ohmysweetgoodness this was an absolutelly brilliant book! I mean I was laughing and scowling...and giggling, which is so unlike me! I loved this book so much and you must MUST read it!
Nat is marked but she wears contacts to conceal what she is as she works for a casino as a blackjack dealer. Pretty sweet gig till she realized that the stone another coworker gave her is dangerous in the wrong hands. When that coworker is killed she knows she must flee or risk sharing the same fate.
So she enlist the help of Wes and his men to get her over the fence and to 'the Blue'. They don't know that is where she is heading but they suspect since it is everyone's dream to find 'the Blue', but it's just a myth. No one actually believes in it anymore.
Together they encounter hunters, polarbears, soldiers, Thrillers, and pirates, only to evade capture each time. Nat and Wes begin to grow attached even after he discovers she is marked. (Awww how sweet!) They meet some people who were stranded in a sinking ship and one of them is marked while the other are smallmen (no joke, that's what they call them!).
When pirates capture them all they are forced into cells to await the auction block. Wes and Nat form a plan but when the captain of the ship learns the way to the Blue it is up to Nat to stop him. After all it was what she was born to do.
Will she be able to come to grips with what she is? Who will suffer in the end? What will happen to Nat and Wes? Will they really reach the Blue?
Ahhh I loved it and though I pretty much guessed what was going to happen I still enjoyed myself! It is a must read! No joke! Bohobooknerd you had better read this book and get back to me! :D

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Review

I liked this book and I saw the movie (unfortunately) so I knew what was going to happen. The movie was wrong about some things but sadly right about others. Tell me, who all knew Snape was a traitor? I on the other hand was torn because I wanted to believe he was good.
Harry leaves hi Aunt and Uncle shortly after arriving when Dumbledore comes to get him.  After a stop along the way Harry finds himself safe with the Weasleys and owner of Sirius's old house. On the train to Hogwarts Harry discovers Draco has joined the Death Eaters but (much to his surprise) his friends don't seem convinced.
When he's back in school he becomes obsessed with finding out what Malfroy is doing but he can't follow him so he sends Dobby and Kreacher to tail him. He also has sessions with Dumbledore in which he learns more about Tom Riddle (You-Know-Who) and what it will take to kill him. You-Know-Who has split his soul in 6-7 (not precisely sure) ways and each has to be destroyed before he can be killed for good.
Dumbledore takes Harry with him to find one of the Horcruxes which makes Dumbledore so weak it is Harry that has to get him back to school. (bet he wished he hadn't!) There they find Death Eaters and discover that Malfroy had gotten them in and that Snape was a traitor. Poor Dumbledore trusted him so much!
Will Harry save Dumbledore from his fate? Will the Order come just in time to save him? Or will Dumbledore parish and the school fall into the hands of You-Know-Who?
So sad how it ended and I had to fight back tears at the end! I enjoyed it though but I'm not too pleased at how it ended so that made me take away some points. Sadly Harry has to continue on his journey alone...Or does he? Find out in my review of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Review

Agh! I hated one of the characters so much I thought I was going to go mad! I mean who can honestly ignore the signs the You-Know-Who is coming back? *sigh* Alas I was able to make it through without too much hair pulling. I found I enjoyed it quite a bit when the toad wasn't involved.
Harry (once again) is having a boring summer till the day he and Dudley are attacked. (one of the signs that You-Know-Who is coming back...the Ministry lost 50 points!) They survive but the Ministry of Magic is holding a hearing for Harry on whether to sentence him...(I think to Azkaban). Dumbledore gets him off  and Harry learns about The Order of the Phoenix which was created long ago to battle He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named. Sirius is involved and Harry, Hermione, Ron, etc. spend time in Sirius's house where the Order resides.
When they get to school they find they have a new professor who is a evil evil woman! Professor Umbridge wants no mention of You-Know-Who and gives horrible punishments to Harry for mentioning his name. She wants him to stop spreading "lies" so she makes his life a living hell. Not to mention that the O.W.L.s are coming up. When Ron's dad is attacked they head back to Sirius's house for the holidays and to take care of Ron's dad. (Harry saw him get attacked by a snake in a vision which means another 50 points are taken from the Ministry!)
Sadly Harry has to go back to Hogwarts to endure through Professor Umbridge (who took over as head of the school when Dumbledore had to flee) and the O.W.L.s that sneak their way closer. When Harry has a dream of Sirius being attacked and tortured he has to find a way to get there and help. But how can he do this when everyone he can tell are gone?
Will they get away from Umbridge and save Sirius? Or is this just a trap meant to gain You-Know-Who a weapon?
Ok I did love it but I must say I was terribly disappointed when one of my favourite characters died! I mean I loved that character! The rest of the book was great though slow in some parts. I'll do a review on the next book when I finish it! :D

Thanksgiving Review

The romance was a bit too fast but I really loved it! It made me laugh, which doesn't happen unless I'm reading something by this author! Janet Evanovich is a superb writer and I love reading anything by her!
Megan makes pottery and dresses up in a colonial costume on weekends for her part time job in town. She meets Pat quite by accident. See his rabbit Tibbles escapes and chews her skirt and so their story begins. She finds the rabbit once again and takes it back to Pat. Then a girl shows up and believing that Pat and Megan are married she leaves her son Tim (just born a few months ago...or more) with them. Pat is a paediatrician so the mother thought he could take care of her child.
Megan gets stuck with the baby because Pat has to work but she enjoys Timmy. She and Pat grow closer and begin to share a bed (don't worry there aren't too many juicy details!) as they fall hard for each other. Both of their parents show up and spend Thanksgiving with each other while the mothers talk about a Christmas wedding. Too fast! Besides Pat hasn't even asked her yet.
When Tilly comes back for her baby she brings the father with her saying they are to be married soon. (awww!) So now Megan has not only been dumped twice at the alter, she has had the baby she loves taken from her. Now she definitely wants Pat to marry her so they can have children but he is scared of failing to live up to expectations. So he makes a mistake and her ex-fiancé shows up in town ruining everything for them.
She may be in love with him but she is scared of being left again. After all he has already broken her heart by not wanting to marry her.
Will they be together in the end? What will bring them back together? Will everything end with a happily ever after?
I totally loved this book! It was a great read and I recommend it to everyone who loves romance and comedy because it has a perfect combination of both! :D

Hunting Ground Review

This book follows Cry Wolf and is the 2nd in the Alfa & Omega Novels. So far there are three but I will post on the 3rd later on. Knowing there's a third book kind of gives away the ending...Well I liked this book and it took me quite a while to figure out who the bad guy was. There were many bad guys but I found it hard to believe it was him until I figured out why. Make any sense?
Anna has been mated to Charles for about a month now and they are going up to Seattle, Washington for a conference. Marrok (the Alfa of their pack) wants to let the world know about werewolves and so he was supposed to meet them there to address their concerns. He sends Anna and Charles instead because Charles has a bad feeling about his father going.
Well since she is an Omega (very rare) almost everyone wants her. Whether it be the Beast (very scary guy) or some unknown person who is hiring a hit team of vampires to get a hold of her. Luckily she escapes their first attack but they continue to kill. They kill...haha I'm not spilling the beans. They use some sort of magic (much like the pack magic) to conceal themselves from everyone which makes it hard to prepare for an attack.
As the conference goes on one enemy is revealed but the one who hires vamps is still a mystery. When Anna is kidnapped though Charles will do anything to get her back. Even kill the only ones who can tell him who hired them.
It becomes apparent who the crazy one is (I figured it out a little before the person was revealed) once Charles starts to...well taunt him. Once the madman is taken care one of the old enemies surfaces and tries to kill Charles. It is up to a wounded Anna to save him yet again. Will she be in time though?
I loved this book! It was a bit stressful and I wasn't expecting one of the deaths but it still made for a great read. Make sure to read the first book so you understand what's going on. Trust me when I say you will be lost in places if you don't. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review

Let me just say...I loved it! It took a bit longer to read (unfortunately) because I rarely had time to read for a few days. Next let me say that this book (when I found it) was in terrible condition...It had sections falling out and everything! D: How could someone do that to a book? Anyway I enjoyed the book though I had to be very very careful with it so it didn't fall apart again...
Well Harry's at it again! After an almost decent summer in which Dudley had to go on a diet Ron's family shows up for Harry. Needless to say that Ron's brothers played a joke on Dudley in which his tongue...elongated to the point it looked like a snake. (hahaha!  love those boys and their tricks!) The Weaselys take him to the International Quidditch Cup where after the game some strange (spooky) things begin to happen. Leading everyone to wonder if He-Who-Should-Not-Be-Named has come back.
Back at school with his friends once again someone is out to kill Harry. No one actually attacks him but they do put his name in the Goblet of Fire in hopes that he'll be killed. (if only he knew the truth!) Now he has to survive three trials to win the Cup with everyone thinking he put his name in the Goblet. Now instead of three people competing (from different schools) there are now four (Harry's the fourth).
Will Harry win the cup and become a hero? Will everything go back to normal? Or will everything take a twisted turn into something everyone has been dreading?
It was a tad long but it was totally worth it! The end (a little before it) took me by surprise and I pride myself with being able to guess what is coming. Sheesh was I wrong! I'm glad though that it was able to do that. It doesn't happen often enough...
I'm rereading all of the Harry Potter books since I was on so many trains during the trip and because I went to London! Kind of figured I had to read the books again...

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Review

So I shouldn't really complain since I have the book but I will since I had to wait a whole day to get started reading it. This book's binding was falling apart (not as badly as the fourth book was) so my father had to fix it up. Luckily he did a good job but I was dying to read the book by the time I was allowed to open it!
So the summer goes pretty well considering how his summers usually go...that is until his Aunt (no blood relation) shows up with her evil bulldog Ripper. When she begins to criticize Harry's parents Harry looses control and uses magic on her. He takes all his stuff and runs away but he is soon found by the Ministry of Magic and... forgiven! He never saw that coming! So he stays hidden until school starts and he can go back with his friends Ron and Hermione. What he didn't know (until he overheard it) was that a crazy wizard was out to kill Harry.
He gets to school and Hermione starts acting funny along with her new cat and Ron's rat. Something is going on but all Harry wants is to go to the town with the rest of the third years. He manages! :D
Anyway Sirius Black is apparently Harry's godfather and Professor Lupin is a friend of Harry's father. Ron's rat is a traitor and Professor Snape wants their blood. (doesn't he always want somebody dead??) When Sirius is captured and sentenced to have his soul sucked out of him it is up to Harry and Hermione to save him. Why? Because he isn't the bad guy in this story. How? Hermione has a secret!
Will they be able to pull off the closest stunt in history? Will they save two lives? Or will Snape have them both expelled from school for good and let Sirius die?
Loved Sirius Black! XD I know I'm pathetic but I really do! Even when I didn't know he was a bad guy I still rooted for him though I didn't understand what was going on with him. This book was totally worth the wait!

In the Forests of the Night Review

So since this is the second book in the series I was scared to pick it up since I don't have the third book yet. (I have issues with not having the whole series when I start reading...) Let me just say the beginning (like first 191) were boring but since I had nothing better to read I went on ahead. I mean I love romance and action with a little bit of mystery thrown in. I like to loose myself in a book. (Do you understand?) Well this book is slow in every one of those aspects!
Tea's life is back to normal. Well as normal as it can be when she has Finn, Mamieo, Thomas, Roisin, etc. living in her house. Her father is back and Aiden is safe (for now) so Tea believes her life should move on like it was before all the goblin stuff happened. So she sees things most people can't see and Finn wants to move forward with their relationship. None of that is going to happen! For goblin sake they haven't even kissed yet!
Turns out Kyle made Tea deadly sick and that is how she is like him. She can be in two different places at once which means she can go to Mag Mell and bring back Fear Doirich for the angel to kill. (Super right? Finally some excitement in her life!) So Finn manages to go with her and they have to travel with phookas until something else comes along. (good or bad? I'll let you guess!) So with the help of Gil (the only remaining phooka in the pack) they head towards where Fear Doirich is. What they didn't expect is to find Queen Mab and that she wants Tea to kill Doirich for her. Who knew?
Will they kill Doirich like they planned? Will they make it back home safely? Or will Mab win whatever twisted game she's playing and kill Finn and Tea?
This book does get better towards the end but not enough for me to actually sit on the edge of my chair. I was practically begging for the book to end! Loved the last line though! Brilliant! I'll be posting about the third book once I am able to locate it at a bookstore. :D

The Space Between Review

I've been dying to get my hands on this book because it sounded good and I loved the cover. I mean the cover is amazing and pretty much sums up what it looks like where she lives. I loved this book though the end was a little weird...Let me fill you in.
Daphne lives in Pandemonium (AKA Hell) with her father (Lucifer), her mother (Lilith), and her sisters. She saves a boy from being tormented for the rest of days by her cousin and he gets to go back to Earth. When her brother Obie vanishes from both Earth and Hell she will set foot on Earth for the first time in her life to try and find him. She finds the boy (Truman) that she saved in hopes that he can help her find her brother since Truman knew him.
Together they find things that trouble them and they find that they have stronger feelings towards each other than when they first met. They find a baby and discover that it is Azrael (the angel of death) and his monstrous beast (Dark Dreadful) are responsible for the deaths of the demons and the nightmares Truman is having. It was obvious so I don't think I'm giving too much away quite yet...The dreams are super cool! You'll see why if you read it!
I know it sounds pretty boring but I really liked it! Of all the books I have read I have never read one where demons can be nice and help someone. This book (though it has a lot of bad demons and angels) has quite a few good ones. I loved this book and though some don't seem to agree with me I hope you do.

Tyger Tyger Review

This book reminded me a bit of the Iron King books but it was much much better than those. It was a bit slow at first but the action and stuff picked up as the book progressed. Honestly I've only heard of goblins in movies...I don't think I've ever read anything with them in it. Not yet anyway...
Teagan (Tea) went through her life not believing in the stories her dad read or the paintings of goblins that her mom painted. All that mattered was her job working at the zoo and getting good grades. Then her cousin Finn moves in with them and things go downhill quickly. An animal dies at the zoo and Tea is blamed and to top it off both she and her brother (Aiden) are seeing things no one else can see. Well no one except for Finn.
After Finn leaves their mother dies and months later their father goes missing. Finn comes back and helps them find their father only to have him kidnapped by a goblin. Together they must get him back and the only way to do that is by taking Aiden with them. He has the power to make a path in the right direction by singing. When Tea, Aiden and Finn find Josh (Tea's and Aiden's father) they come face to face with the one who keeps him captive. Fear Doirich.
Will they defeat him and save Josh? Will they escape from Mag Mell? Or will he live to haunt them all?
Ok the romance was really lacking but there were quite a few close calls when it came to kissing. XD I loved Aiden! Haha! He was a great character and I loved his role. I am still stuck wondering what Tea's powers are but I figure they will be revealed in the next book. Finn was a great character but why on earth does he feel he needs permission to kiss Tea? Agh! I still enjoyed it and can't wait to read the next book.

So this book was in worse shape than the first book but I managed to read it without too much trouble. I hate it when people treat books so carelessly! I swear this book looked like it had been on the ground with it's pages twisted for a long long time. So sad! I had no idea my sister treated her books like this! I enjoyed the book though and it is one of them that I remember the movie version of it. I just couldn't remember which movie had the snake in it...
Time for Summer is wrapping up and Harry can't wait to get back to Hogwarts and his friends. He misses them so much and they haven't written him at all...or so he thinks. He meets Dobby (love him!) and he is warned that he is in grave danger if he goes back to Hogwarts. As punishment for lying to them his Aunt and Uncle lock him in his room with very little food until Ron and his two brothers break him and his stuff out of there.
The problems don't stop for Ron and Harry who can't penetrate the barrier to make it to the train on time so they take the flying car to school. Unfortunately they crash. Then Draco joins the Slytherin Quidditch team as their Seeker along with new (faster) brooms. Things can't get worse can they? Wrong! Filch's cat is paralyzed and then students also get paralyzed by an unknown force. One of the students is Hermione! Now the spiders are running and Dumbledore is dismissed...for a while.
Harry and Ron have to save Quinn from the awful creature but in the end it is Harry (yet again) that defeated the creature and once more stopped Voldemort from regaining power. (Harry! Harry! Harry!) He saves Quinn and they once again win the House Cup! Two years in a row! :D
Oh darn I gave too much away! Sorry! But really everyone has seen the movie and read the book by now right? I mean it's an obvious ending since there are seven books in the series. Well I hope you enjoyed and agreed with me. Till the next book then!

I loved this book and can't wait for Endless Knight to come out on the 1st of October! Yay! I love the characters and I totally wish that was my life...well minus all the death of family, friends and stuff. I happen to love the woods in my backyard and don't know what I'd do without them in the winter.
Anyway it starts off in a house where Arthur has made his personal torture chamber in the basement. Three women are trapped though Evie doesn't know it yet...So she tells him her story like he asks.
Evangeline (Evie) just got out of Children's Learning Center (AKA Child's Last Chance) or CLC after being locked up for the entire summer. Her mother thought her gran had taught her things about the occult (but her mother is wrong...kind of) and insisted on having her daughter locked up in the mental institution. Evie has hallucinations and seems to be able to have control over plants but that is insignificant when it comes to her nightmares of the future and a horrible red witch.
When she gets back home she starts back to school and meets the new kids from the other side of nice and rich. Everywhere she goes she feels Jack's eyes on her even though he says he despises her which makes her frustrated. Her boyfriend Brandon is no match for the desire Jack stirs inside Evie. On her birthday the Beginning of the End begins destroying all the plants and most of the human population. Including all her friends.
Jack finds her and they set out to find her gran for answers before the troops come for the women. On their journey they encounter zombies and slavers but they manage to avoid them. They also find the Moon, The Fool, and The Magician who all have powers. Jack doesn't know about the powers and Evie is afraid that he'll reject her when he finds out who and what she is. She herself doesn't quite know till Arthur comes along.
Will Arthur lock her in his dungeon with the others? Will Jack come for her like he promised? Or will her powers take over?
I loved it so much! I hated how the ending was left open because I could barely fall asleep the night that I finished it! I just sat up contemplating what would happen next and it was driving me crazy. I'm going to go insane waiting to get my hands on the book!

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Review

Ok so I was a bit too young to watch the movies so my mom figured that keeping the books out of my hands was a good idea. Admittedly the movies were scary but I was young then. Luckily I found the first three books in the series that my sister had left when she moved out. Yay me! I was so excited I started reading the first immediately and I'm glad I spotted them before my mom got rid of them.
Harry Potter is an orphan who lives with his Aunt and Uncle along with their son Dudley. They are cruel to him and make him live under the stairs (where it seems like there are an indeterminate number of spiders). As his eleventh birthday draws near he begins to get letters which freak his Aunt and Uncle out to the point when his Uncle makes them leave on a trip. Sadly (for the Uncle) they are discovered by Hagrid (love him!) who tells Harry about his parents and where he is going to go to school now.
On the train he meets Ron, Hermione (know it all), and Neville (lost his toad) along with Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle (a not so friendly bunch). When they get to the school Harry is picked as Gryffindor and so is Ron, Hermione and Neville. (great to be among friends right?) Well the more time he spends there the more at home he feels till someone tries to kill him during a Quiddich match. Now he has to get to the Sorcerer's Stone before the man who has been killing unicorns does. To get to the Stone he and his friends have to get through many obstacles and in the end Harry is left alone to face You-Know-Who. (XD couldn't help myself!)
Will he live to make it a second year? Will Gryffindor win the house cup? Or will Voldemort come back?
So you all know the end of the book and probably the whole series. I mean I must be the only one who is just now reading and watching the movies! How pathetic is that? Anyway I really enjoyed reading the book and will probably post a review on the second book too! Hope you enjoyed!

Ripple Review

I liked it but there have been better love stories. I have been waiting on this book for...at least a year and was able to find it at a used bookstore much to my surprise. Yay! So happy I got my hands on it and I read it straight away.
Lexi is a siren. She has closed herself off to everyone for two years since the death of Steven the one she loved. She killed him though she didn't mean to. It wasn't her fault she didn't know what she was. No one at school talks to her but Cole seems to see right through her and tries to get her to break down the wall she put up around her heart. Sweet! :D So they start a relationship together but then she meets Erik who knows what she is.
Erik tells her that they can break the curse if they can fall in love because it has worked for sirens and nix in the past. (a nix is what he is) The problem is that she's in love with Cole but she tries to love Erik so she doesn't accidentally kill someone again. Cole does his best to get her back but she pushes him away until the night he almost drowns. It was her fault and so she does her best to explain everything to him without scaring him away. They never expected someone to turn on them and almost kill them both but yet it happened anyway.
Will Lexi and Cole break the curse? Will Cole desert her like her father did to her mother? Or will they both be killed by the last person they thought would try to do so?
I must say I was taken back by one of the characters since I didn't expect them to be evil! I loved the character too! It wasn't fair! D: I did enjoy the book though. It is definitely a must read though it is a bit slow in the beginning. The action really picks up towards the end and I must say I was worried for the characters. Well I would've been if I hadn't taken a peek at the last page... Hope I didn't give too much away! :D

I loved this book though I don't really care for the name Josh...All the guys named Josh (that I've met) are idiots, jerks, or wimps so I don't have a fondness for that name. Let me get on with it! XD Ok so this book has been on my list for an unseemly amount of time and I was finally able to talk my dad into buying it for me. See I am broke with very little access to money. I rely on my parents or luck to get books. This story sounded so sweet and I must say that I'm a hopeless romantic despite my trying not to cry during the Notebook. Fail every time...but that's not important.
Amelia is a ghost who can't remember how or why she died. Actually she knows how (she drowned) but she doesn't know how she ended up in the river under High Bridge. She wanders aimlessly having occasional nightmares until one of her nightmares brings her back to the river. The river that now holds a drowning boy who she can't touch or save. He dies but when he sees and touches her his heart starts beating again and he is able to swim to shore where help has arrived. (took long enough!) She believes that will be the last she sees of him but yet she can't make herself leave the Bridge.
Joshua (goes by Josh with his friends) comes back and they begin to uncover who she was and piece together why she is still wandering on the surface. Unfortunately his grandmother Ruth and another ghost Eli will stop at nothing to keep them apart. Eli because he wants her to become his "apprentice" and rule his domain with him. Ruth because she's a Seer (like Josh) who wants to exorcize Amelia believing since she hasn't been claimed that she is evil. Rubbish! Amelia wouldn't hurt anyone!
Anyway when Josh's sister is threatened by Eli it is up to Amelia and Josh to save her from ending up the same way Amelia did. A watery grave.
Will she stop Eli before it is to late and stop him from harming Josh and the rest of his family? Or will she fail to save his sister and end up being exorcised by Ruth?
Loved it! I even loved Eli who was a total nutbag out for possession of Amelia. Poor fella was just misguided and given way too much power that totally messed with his ego. Hopefully he won't be in the second book (which I have yet to acquire). The author did a great job bringing these characters to life and I found myself rooting for Amelia all throughout the book...I know I'm a bit obsessed with fictional characters but I prefer fantasy to reality. Much more fun!

Carrier of the Mark Review

I was freaking out because I wanted this book so much! I mean I love mythology and of course Ireland! One day I hope to go there and see what it really looks like since books may try to describe it but they don't usually succeed. Ok this book was kind of boring and I was laughing since it reminded me so much of Twilight (except in certain instances). I liked the book but it was more about the main characters than about the Irish legends. I prefer mythology to obsessive couples.
Megan is a girl who moves around a lot since her mother died in a car accident. When she moves to Ireland she never expects to make friends so quickly or to have the hottest guy in school watch every move she makes. (I mean his obsession with her is so over the top!) Anyway she feels the attraction to Adam too which makes it super hard for her to ignore him. XD
Adam is a guy who lives with his brother (Rian), his sister (Aine), and their guardian (Fionn) since his parents died. They have secrets which include cool powers. Not going to tell you who has what power but they are pretty cool! They are Carriers of the Mark just like Megan and they are all royalty just like Megan. Not real royalty as in the Queen of England but as in royalty among Carriers of the Mark. I was so confused when the characters talked about this stuff and wanted to skip to the end.
The thing that made me mad was that Megan and Adam couldn't be together (as in married) and yet they were snogging each other to the point I was sure they would do the deed. Nope! Adam began gaining more power when he was near her and he was beginning to lose control of it. As for Megan her power grew but she was able to control it after a bit. Their powers react to each other which could mean something devastating would happen if they got together in that way. Please they are way to young to think of getting married!
Towards the end of the book it really picked up but it didn't last long. I mean I like tense moments in a book but this only had a few pages and it wasn't nearly enough. It wasn't even that exciting! Though I did finish it I kept putting it off until I had nothing better to do since the book was too...silly! Some parts has me super confused and I kept rereading trying to figure out what they were talking about. It could be that I was just tired but I don't think so. It is still a good book but I would wait till you ran out of books before you read this. I will write a review on Shadow of the Mark as soon as I get my hands on it!

I started reading this series out of order since I didn't really know it was a series. I enjoyed the third book so therefore I made sure to buy the first two. Of course it took a while to find them but when I did I had to read the first one immediately. I will write a review on the third one once I do a review on the second one (confusing right?) :) This I promise to do. But first I have other books to read so it might take a while. Sorry.
Anna was just a normal girl until she was attacked and turned into a werewolf (it doesn't go through what happened. it just starts when she has to go get her things from her previous wolf pack). So she gets mated to Charles who is also a werewolf like her only he's and Alfa and she's an Omega. Apparently Omegas are rare so she is very special. Charles is immediately drawn to her with not just his human self but with his wolf counterpart too.
Charles loves her but it takes longer for Anna who has been abused by her previous pack. Lets just say that they tried to break her of her mental stability. Together they go back to his home where soon after they have to face a rogue wolf because Bran (Charles father and leader of the pack) sent them after it. Asil (another werewolf in Bran's pack) knows what is going on so he goes after Charles and Anna who have met another werewolf Walter. Soon after Bran follows. What they are really dealing with is a witch called Mariposa and her guardian. The guardian is a long dead werewolf called Sarai who also used to be Asil's mate. Unfortunately Mari killed Sarai over two hundred  years ago. Basically she's nuts!
So they all have to face this witch and her guardian to save the pack. In the process Anna and Charles truly mated (not what you think!) and she falls in love with him too. Aww! Since she is an Omega she isn't easily controlled but will she be able to break the spell the witch casts and save the pack? Or will they all fall victim to Mari?
I bet you can all guess but I am not going to spoil anything else for you so you'll just have to read the book. I loved the book and hope you all agree with my review. If you like the review I suggest you read the book. Trust me you will like (if not love) this book!

UGH! I hate this book! So unnecessary and it made me sooooooo angry! I was screaming at how stupid this book was and the only reason I finished it was because I wanted to see if it would get better. It didn't! Why did the author have to ruin the series???
Ever and Damon are growing more attached and are about to have their first night in a hotel room together. yuck! In all her past lives they had never had sex so they are looking forward to it. That didn't last long since a new guy shows up in school. Roman (at least I think that's his name) takes Ever's place (NOT in that way) and brain washes him. Damen soon forgets Ever and despises everything about her. They never get their night together.
Ever is struggling to change her past so she can go back and prevent her parents death. Also so she can be human again instead of an Immortal like Damen.
Roman is a guy much like Damon who was in love with the girl Ever killed in the first book. He wants payback by making Ever lose Damen. Well not lose him lose him but at the end of the book they can't touch him without it killing him. What a stupid STUPID twist!!
What is wrong with the author that made her think this was a good idea? I mean who does that to the main characters? I was so upset that though I have the next two books I can't make myself read them. They just sit on my shelf gathering dust. One day I might get to them but not until I forget this book!
