John (Number Four) moves around a lot so as to avoid the Mogadorians (they are the ones that destroyed Lorien). See John is from Lorien (a planet far far away) and he along with eighteen other people escaped from Lorien before it was destroyed by the Mogadorians. Now he is the Fourth of Nine powerful Loriens to survive. The first three were killed by Mogadorians who are now after him. He's only fifteen and his world was destroyed ten years ago but he is still being hunted like an animal.
So he and Henri move to Paradise, Ohio in hopes to escape them for a while. Henri is kind of his keeper and makes sure John is safe and to make sure the Mogadorians never catch them. In Paradise John meets Sarah and is immediately drawn to her despite his best efforts to stay away from her. Mark is her ex and insists on trying to prove that he is better for Sarah than John is. Sarah refuses to believe that though. Sam is a alien believer and since his father was in fact taken by aliens (Mogadorians) Henri and John try to figure out how much he knows.
Sam is eventually told what Henri and John are and he is completely fine with that. So everything at school is going great until the Mogadorians find John and trap him in the school with Sarah. Somehow Henri, Mark, and Bernie Kosar (the dog :D) get into the school along with Number Six. Six tries to help them get out but it is up to everyone to help her defeat the hundreds of Mogadorians outside. This is where it gets really exciting so I won't say any more!
This book rocks and I'm so happy I got it! It was totally worth it and I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the series! I definitely recommend this book (even if it is from a guys point of view) for everyone. You won't regret it! Well hopefully you won't...XD

ReplyDeleteYou are going to LOVE the second book. I thought this one was alright but then instantly fell in love with this series after the second one.
Probably the only alien book I've ever liked. Great review!
