The Legend of the Blue Eyes Review

Title: The Legend of the Blue Eyes

Author: B. Kristin McMichael

Book: (The Blue Eyes Trilogy, #1)

Pages: 256

Rating: 3.5/5

This is such a weird book! I have read many books (not bragging) and so I didn't think any book could confuse me. I was wrong. This book confused me so much I had to keep rereading it trying to figure out what was going on. It didn't help in the least. Then there is the legend in the book which really makes me mad. I won't tell you so you have to read the book. It's so not fair!
Arianna (Ari) though she was just a normal girl. Except for the fact that she was an orphan living with her aunt and uncle. That all changed when she turned sixteen and discovered she was purebred Baku and purebred Dearg-dul. In other words she is two different kinds of vampire. She learns she has an uncle (real one) and a grandfather who are on opposing sides of the night humans. Baku and Tengu vs. Dearg-dul and Lycan. She is a bridge between the two.
She meets Devin who's on her PPU and Turner who goes to school with her. They are both madly in love with her and she with them. The thing that bugs me is that she can have both (and more) without having to choose between them. Not freaking fair! She gets to have guys who love her without having to choose! Agh! Whoever wrote this book had some strange ideas...I like them to an extent.
The book is kind of slow and confusing but I actually enjoyed it...I don't know why but I did. All the book deals with is her becoming both Dearg-dul and Baku. Big whoop. I guess it does get exciting towards the end but not on the edge of your seat intense. I like being surprised and this book did nothing to surprise me. Once I get the second book I will do a review on it too. I can't seem to read just one book in the series...I usually have to read them all.
